The law and order problem that has arisen

The high court had weld studs Manufacturers last week said it is women's fundamental right to go into places of worship and it is the government's duty to protect it.Maharashtra has always been at the forefront of providing women opportunity at par with men, and social reformers like Mahatma Phule and Maharshi Karve have even been ostracised for their continuous efforts, it pointed out."The issue should have been solved by a discussion among the stakeholders and the court should not have been approached," the Sena said, adding, courts have no role to play in matters of faith."Is the fight for entry in temple the only problem left in Maharashtra Have the drought problems in Marathwada and farmers suicides in Vidarbha ceased It seems that even the terror issues and day-to-day problems of common man have ended and thus this fight on temple entry," the Sena said."Will the courts say Muslim women should shun their old religious practices and get equal rights " the ruling ally further sought to know.

The law and order problem that has arisen due to the court order is disturbing. The Sena said Haji Ali Dargah trustees cite the Shariah law to deny entry to women inside it, as a result of which women are still stuck with the age-old religious traditions. The debate over the issue in Maharashtra escalated after a woman last year tried to enter and offer prayers at the Shani Shingnapur temple at Ahmednagar in 'breach' of the age-old practice of prohibiting entry of women. Will the decision to allow women inside all temples be applicable to Muslims as well ," an editorial in Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' said. The Sena also took a dig at the shifting focus to women's entry in temples rather than other issues like the drought and farmers' suicides in Vidarbha and Marathwada. The Sena also sought to know if a similar decision will be taken to uphold the religious rights of Muslim women. There needs to be a debate if entry of women is banned merely due to blind faith or because of scientific reasons, says Sena. There needs to be a debate if entry of women is banned merely due to blind faith or because of scientific reasons, says Sena. Mumbai: In the wake of Bombay High Court's ruling that it is women's fundamental right to enter places of worship in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena on Monday said the issue concerning the Shani Shingnapur temple should have been sorted out among stakeholders instead of dragging it to the court."There needs to be a debate if entry of women is banned there merely due to blind faith or because of scientific reasons," it suggested. end-of

They serve as a reminder that there are people

Following the road less travelled is hard, I face challenges everyday but isn’t this how humanity evolved as a species that made the world better?" Well said! I remember one of them coming up to me and saying he wanted to become an inventor just like me but he could not because the literature required isn’t available in Braille.  In 2016; Roopam was selected as one of the top eight innovators by MIT. He is in illustrious company. This inspired me to visit a blind school in Delhi," he recalls. "Runway modelling was something that appealed me back then and I did see it as future career at that time. But that got me pondering. "Most of them had dreams and hopes for a prosperous future. The current scenario in terms of educational opportunities limits them from achieving a better life and these kids never thrive.

What do these accolades mean to him? "I feel honoured to have been recognised on such global platforms. The device has a camera on the index finger which starts scanning the surrounding. My decision of choosing altruism over cynicism gives me internal satisfaction. Roopam is the super sharp brain behind Manovue — a device that has been defined as the ‘world’s first intelligent wearable visual assistant. Coming from a socio-economic background like mine, youth like me aren’t supposed to pursue research and development and look for pay-check to pay-check options. I had to put in twice the effort than a regular inventor because I was never raised to build a technology and had to make sure things were falling into place. The current pricing of `1,980 has been finalised only after the interactions andsurvey feedback with the middle class Indian community members who suggested this would be an affordable price for them," he confesses. The experience frightened me. And now in 2019, Roopam joined the list of 100 global thinkers by FP magazine. The device has been developed while interacting with the users at all the stages. Due to this, the community has very limited educational and job options."  In 2015, a casual conversation (with a friend) over post graduation job prospects, lead to a blindfold experience that had a life altering moment for Roopam. But he is not geeky in the traditional sense of the word. The community that I now work with doesn’t judge me by my looks or my appearance.During his interactions, he discovered that less than one per cent of the community is Braille literate.

Thanks to my father who despite being an aged and retired senior, emptied his bank account so that I could get my education and go to college. But is he satisfied? Pat comes the reply "Yes. I’m a first generation inventor and entrepreneur only because there were people who made sacrifices so that I could do what gave me happiness and pursue my dreams. Never once did he imagine that life would propel him into the geeky world of technology. He or she gives a voice command to activate the device. Unaware of what it meant, I asked him ‘what is China insert nut Suppliers that?’ He responded by saying that he could not distinguish between colours. I remember telling him, ‘What if you could not see anything at all?’ And it was this thought process that triggered my decision to blindfold  my eyes and spend 30 minutes in  darkness. This is a completely different experience and I’ve got a very different perspective about life after working with this community," says the charming youngster, with several prestigious titles to his credit. "At that time, I was a 19-year-old teenager who got his first computer at 18. But that’s not the only reason why he needs to be celebrated. I was never raised to be a scientist and do something good for the society. Upon hearing that, I tried to pacify him by saying that he had many different career options with colour blindness and told him that he’s at-least able to see. There is an urgent need to change this scenario in order to secure a better future for this community and ensure prosperity for them," reveals Roopam who decided to exploit his skills for the larger good of making and developing a new technology like Manovue. Roopam is both a scientist and an innovator who has a bachelors of technology degree in computer science and engineering at Manav Rachna University in Faridabad, Haryana. Two years later, he was honoured as one of Asia’s 21 young leaders in Manila.’

The user simply wears this device on her/his hand. They serve as a reminder that there are people and organisations who believe in making the world a better place and want me to keep going  and persevere until the goals are achieved," says the focussed young man, whose sole desire was to earn a degree and get a stable job,Roopam has indeed come a long way since then. It was only after these conversations with these individuals that I decided to do something for this community," he adds.23-year-old Roopam Sharma makes India proud by joining the prestigious list of 100 Global thinkers by Foreign Policy magazine. How many 23-year-olds can claim to share the spotlight with Bill Gates, Barack Obama and Stephen Hawking? India’s Roopam Sharma has been named one of the 100 global thinkers by the magazine with muscle, Foreign Policy. This gully boy grew up on the streets of Haryana, where he spent his wonder years playing outdoor games with friends. When I took the blindfold off, I really felt lucky and the next question that followed in my mind was how it would be to spend your complete life in this darkness. Roopam was deeply impacted by his visit to the blind school, where he interacted with several visually challenged youngsters. "It has considerable shortcomings in the 21st century like difficulty in language learning, unavailability and the high cost of Braille books and unavailability of all books in Braille. Roopam has been a fashion model too — an interest that began in his freshman year at college.Reminiscing about his modest past, Roopam recollects, "I’d laugh if you told me back in my childhood that I’d be an inventor. When it sees any printed material, the device extracts the text and speaks out aloud whatever is written over there," says the youngster with an impressive academic record. "My friend said he wanted to join the Army but he could not do so because he was colour blind

This body has been allowed a presence

It, however, succeeded to a significant degree thanks to the PDP leader’s (the late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed) insatiable lust for power, which his daughter and successor in office shares. The RSS seconded him to the BJP in order to rivet its control over the party. First, they were rigged. For the very first time, the RSS acquired a presence in Indian Kashmir, Weld Stud Nuts Factory on the seat of power and beyond. They voted for him to keep the BJP at bay, instead he made a deal with it.Encouraged in 2015, it spread its wings further this year. The president of the bar association alleged the police’s and the administration’s support of the rally. This alone suffices to prove the abjectness of the mufti’s betrayal of his people. The PDP-BJP alliance’s agenda was drafted by the mufti’s Man Friday, Haseeb Drabu (now finance minister), and Ram Madhav (BJP’s general secretary), a lifelong RSS activist. The implications for Pakistan and Bangladesh are obvious. What escaped notice was that, as part of the bargain, the RSS secured for an activist the office of the Assembly speaker in order to block or interfere with debates, adjourn the House for partisan reasons, and ensure his party’s primacy in the coalition. All this is well known. The PDP-BJP alliance’s agenda was drafted by the mufti’s Man Friday. This body has been allowed a presence in Kashmir because the muftis saw in it the only organisation that would provide them with a few morsels of power — for a brief period. The BJP candidates all lost. In September of that year, the Kashmir Economic Alliance, an organisation of traders, raised the alarm on this development. On Sept 8, 2015, he publicly declared that he was "a proud RSS man". Ram Madhav publicly snubbed her on Sept. Muslim organisations observed a protest on Oct 15. "Political solution" is a mere slogan raised by "romantic" people, he said. Both were proved right by speaker Gupta. This is just what the RSS’ Kavinder Gupta did no sooner than he was elected Speaker. 7, 2016."None of this could have happened were it not for the respectability and encouragement that the mufti had provided. To foil the RSS move, the Hurriyat relented, albeit unofficially. (Photo: PTI) Prior to the Srinagar Assembly elections in 2014, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) — which created Jan Sangh in 1951 and controls its successor, the BJP — declared from the rooftops that it sought to secure a majority. The Hurriyat had consistently boycotted elections in Indian Kashmir, whether parliamentary or the Srinagar Assembly, for two reasons. 25, 2015 dressed in RSS uniform. 26, 2015, he said that India, Pakistan and Bangladesh will reunite "one day" and that the RSS "still believes" this. Casting aside the conventions and rules that bind the speaker to aloofness from party politics, Gupta participated in an RSS procession in Jammu on Oct.In the Valley, Mehbooba Mufti has banned processions by separatists for months. Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti meeting the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. The agenda conceded nothing of significance to the PDP; it bears the imprint of the RSS’ tight fist. On Oct.As a committed RSS man, on Dec. Jain, boasted last year in August that the RSS "is gaining" in Kashmir. It reckoned on support in large parts of Jammu and a split in the ranks of Kashmiris in the Valley. The difference is glaring. Second, it did not accept the Constitution of India or of Kashmir under which elections were held. 8 it held a rally in Doda, a Muslim-majority district of Jammu, and another that was regarded as a move to incite passions in the Chenab valley. Anil Sethi, a respected city advocate, censured him: "It is unbecoming of a Speaker to participate in an RSS procession. To the RSS, Kashmiris who object to Indian rule are "pro-Pakistan elements"
